Microbial Shelf Life module will teach trainees about the main regulatory requirements and studies as well as the tools necessary to validate or verify the microbial shelf life of foodstuffs.
The BASIC level provides information about: spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms in various food products, microbiological shelf-life and the food intrinsic characteristics as food control measures against pathogenic microorganisms. It is aimed at: all food industry employes, students and food educators, advisors. This level contains 4 units. It takes approx. 1 hour to complete.
The INTERMEDIATE level provides information about: tools for the assessment of the shelf life of food products and prediction/modeling of microbial growth. It is aimed at: food industry professionals and academics. This level contains 9 units. It takes approx. 6 hours to complete.
The ADVANCED level provides information about: microbiological sampling, advanced growth models and assessment of shelf life of foods and their practical applications. It is aimed at: trainees which have completed the BASIC and INTERMEDIATE levels. This level contains 3 units. And it takes approx. 3 hours to complete.
