Welcome to the WASTELESS Training Programme!
While hunger is one of the world’s most important health risks, approximately one third of food produced at the global level is wasted every year (1.3bn tonnes) with tremendous negative impacts on society, the environment, and the economy.
The WASTELESS project has developed an interactive training programme to raise awareness and provide solution to reduce food loss and waste along the food supply chain.
Reducing Food Loss and Waste: CHANGE to the right path! is the first part of the training programme and it is dedicated to teachers and their pupils (age 14-17).
The training consists of:
- Initial questionnaire including demograpich data, information about the food waste habits and intital knowledge on the topic of the respondent. The Questionnaire needs to be filled before starting the lessons.
- 5 micro-lessons including videos, presentations, images, graphs and quizzes structured as follows:
o Food Loss and Waste impact
o The Food Waste hierarchy pyramid
o EU initiatives for the reduction of Food Loss and Waste
o How can we reduce Food Waste?
- Activity to be aware of the food waste you and your family discards
- Downloadable materials for teachers to be used with their students
You need to register on the platform in order to enrol the training:
- Go here to create a new account on the ISEKI e-learning platform
- Fill the required fields and press on ‘Create a new account’ button at the end of the page.
- You will receive an email to validate your account
- On the Home page search for the: 'Reducing Food Loss and Waste: CHANGE to the right path!’ training
- Click on the sections you want to access
Notes:
- In order to access the lessons you need to fill the Initial Questionnaire and then you will be enrolled in the training programme and you will receive access to the lessons
- The lessons can be done at your own pace. You need to follow the lessons in their order. The next lesson will be visible only after you finish the previous one
