Welcome to the WASTELESS Training Programme!


While hunger is one of the world’s most important health risks, approximately one third of food produced at the global level is wasted every year (1.3bn tonnes) with tremendous negative impacts on society, the environment, and the economy. 


The WASTELESS project has developed an interactive training programme to raise awareness and provide solution to reduce food loss and waste along the food supply chain.








Measuring Food Loss and Waste Across the Supply Chain: Tools and Strategies for Professionals! is part of the training programme and it is dedicated to food supply chain current and future professionals.

The training program consists of 4 chapters:

  • Chapter 1 - Food loss and waste across the food supply chain
  • Chapter 2 - Tools and strategies for food industry professionals
  • Chapter 3 - Tools and strategies for retail professionals
  • Chapter 4 - Tools and strategies for food services professionals

In order to access the training you need an account on this platform. 
Go here and fill the required fields and press on ‘Create a new account’ button at the end of the page. You will receive an email to validate your account. After that, you will be able to access the course content

Notes:
  • The Chapters and Activities can be done at your own pace. However, we recommend to follow them in their order. 
  • To receive a Certificate of Completion, you must finish all activities included in each module. Please ensure that all activities are marked as complete before finishing the module. Be aware that you need to have a grade of 80% or above on each Final Quiz!
  • All materials included in the training are under the License: License. Example of attribution: 'Training material developed by the WASTELESS project'.
